This Advance-Design by GMC is a light duty truck by Chevrolet - their 1st major redesign after WWII.  First  available on June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955.  This basic design family was used for all of its trucks including the Suburban, panel trucks, canopy express and cab over.  The design was so liked that the retro-craze of the 2000’s was used to create the Chevrolet SSR.
