Born and raised in Alberta, Canada - my wife and I have been blessed with two beautiful daughters and six amazing grandchildren.  Family is everything. I retired from work a few years ago and decided at the time to find something to fill this newly acquired void in my day.

My art and photography story started when I hired a painter to help me paint the fence surrounding my backyard.  While refreshing the paint on the fence the conversion of colour was discussed and my lack of understanding of colour - my limited knowledge of colour was that RYB stood for Red-Yellow-Blue.  During this discussion, the painter said he taught an evening class on acrylic painting.  My ears perked up because I enjoyed sketching when I was a kid, however that interest was set aside due to life.

As a result, I signed up for his acrylic painting class and haven't looked back since.  Also about the same time, I began taking photographs, which surprised me with their complexity, knowledge, and cost.  Both painting and photography have become exciting learning experiences. In addition to getting easily sidetracked and not knowing when to say 'it's done,' it takes me a while to finish a painting.  My passion for motorcycles and old vintage cars and trucks shows in my work.  You are never too old to learn and life is too short.  I hope you enjoy my work.
